Lightweight Re-Packable Stainless Steel Silencers All our re-packable silencers are made from 304 Stainless Steel. They incorporate a repackable end which allows the user to replace the silencer packing when it starts to wear out, thus prolonging the life of the silencer and providing extra adjustability when at the race track. Firstly you choose the OD of the silencer and then the diameter of the tube running through the centre. Each silencer comes complete with a swaged stub of tube at the inlet end and a stub of tube at the exit end. The silencers are packed with a mixture of wirewool and glass matting which provides excellent sound deadening properties and prolonged life at extreme temperatures. Additional packing is available to keep your silencer performing at its optimum level.
If you require guidance as to the amount of additional packing you may require please call us Megaphones and Header Steps Megaphones can be used to enhance the power and sound of an exhaust system. When used correctly they can tune the type of power and how it is delivered by the engine. Our megaphones are rolled from 1.0mm (20swg) Stainless Steel 304 and then seam welded to provide a smooth unobtrusive weld . You choose your inlet size and then any exit diameter up to the maximum shown for that inlet diameter. The maximum length of any of our megaphones is 500mm.
Header Steps When manufacturing headers for highly tuned engines stepping the header pipes from a small diameter to a larger diameter can help to increase power as well as the type of power delivered by the engine. The step creates an area of low pressure which helps to scavenge the smaller diameter pipe and the port area increasing the efficiency of the exhaust cycle. Our steps are pressed from Stainless Steel 304 x 1.2mm wall thickness. Inconel steps are available in varying gauges, please ring with your requirements.
