Inmotec Consultoría Técnica
Chris Tullett Exhausts are pleased to announce the start of a new working relationship with Inmotec Consultoría Técnica.
Inmotec are a Spainish company who for the past two years have been developing both Moto2 and Moto GP bikes to race in the top two premier motorcycle catagories. Based at the new Navarra crcuit in Northern Spain their location will allow the constant development of both machines, as well as allowing testing opportunities and support for customers of Inmotec.
Chris Tullett Exhausts have been involved with the development and production of the exhaust systems for both of these bikes from an early stage. Utilising CAD data sent from Inmotec we have been able to carry out the jig design and manufacture of the exhaust systems at our UK base in Aylesbury. Completing all of the processes in house has allowed us to maintain a high level of quality at all times whilst also ensuring that we achieve manufacturing deadlines. One of the most exciting parts of the project has been the introduction of a new manufacturing process in the form of rapid manufacture. Parts of the exhaust system that are to complex to fabricate or costly to machine have been made in a more cost effective and accurate way. Even though rapid manufacture has been around for a few years it has never before, to our knowledge, been done using Titanium. In this way both ourselves and Inmotec have been pushing the boundaries of this technology.
As well as our fabrication of the exhaust system, we have also created a sponsorship tie in with Inmotec. This agreement means that our name and logo will appear on both the Moto2 and Moto GP bikes which along with our current work in the USA, Europe and Australia will help increase the awareness of Chris Tullett Exhausts on an international scale.
Currently Inmotec are racing two Moto2 machines in the Spainish CEV Buckler Championship. With a best finish of fourth and the constant development of the bike Inmotec have been able to reduce the gap to the front runners from 1.5 sec to under 0.5 sec and with further developments to come a first win is only a matter of time. The next race in the championship is at Albecete on the 12th September.
The MotoGP bike has been undergoing constant testing through out the season and is expected to make its competitive debut at the season closing Valencia Grand Prix.
